Our Perfect Day.

I proposed to my fiancé Katie at Misty Mountains Nature Retreat. We fell in love with the place so much that we decided to have our wedding there. We love nature and love to get away from the rat race and really wanted to get married somewhere stunningly beautiful and very secluded.

To get married in the rainforest under a gigantic fig tree and right beside a mountain stream was like a magical fairytale. The staff at the retreat had immaculately created a magnificent area for us, even lining the path into the ceremony site with tropical plants.

Our ceremony was conducted by Sharon Salvestrin, the owner of the property. Sharon enabled us the freedom to create the spiritual ceremony that we so wanted.

Our guests from all over Australia and from overseas were blown away by the sheer beauty and incredible attention to detail of the gardens, and the purpose built areas to allow maximum enjoyment of the rainforest.

We like the best life has to offer and Misty Mountains certainly provided a world class venue for our wedding and reception. We had our reception in the gardens by the lagoon pool, which was catered by Ochre Grill Restaurant. Everything from the food to the service was simply exceptional.
